Personal Introduction

My name is Samuel Cassin and I have practiced Immigration Law since 1999. I specialize in complicated cases that require heightened levels of attorney involvement and in-depth legal analysis. I specialize in Immigration Law. I am admitted to practice in Washington DC, and legally entitled to represent clients before the United States Immigration Authorities anywhere in the United States. I am a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and the author of a legal research article regarding the handling of Apostasy cases in the United States Asylum system. In addition to French, Hebrew and Arabic, which I speak fluently, I am able to handle relatively complex communications in Spanish and Yiddish. I also have a decent base in Russian, and I am in the process of acquiring some Amharic.

Prior to working with Immigration Law, I was an International Human Rights Negotiator at the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, in that capacity, I participated in the drafting of the language of United States resolutions emanating from bodies like the United Nations Commission on Human Rights. My work at the United Nations put me in direct contact with International Immigration Law issues such as refugee and asylum law as well, the rights of migrant workers, and the citizenship laws of various countries, as well as their effect on statelessness.

I handle all areas of Immigration Law, including:

w Political Asylum
w All Work Visas (H1-B, L, E, TN, others)
w Green Cards
w Change of Status
w Naturalization Citizenship
w Inadmissibility Waivers

w Criminal Immigration Matters
w Family Petitions
w Immigration Court
w Board of Immigration Appeals
w J-1 Waivers
w Diplomats & Immigration Law

My fees are always fair and proportionate to the difficulty of your case. Please contact me to discuss your Immigration concerns. Feel free to talk to me in a language other than English if it is one of those I speak as indicated above.
